Mountain Force Apex Jacket - Men's

Doesn't get much better than this.

As the name would suggest, the Mountain Force Men's Apex Jacket was designed for the skier who demands the pinnacle in performance and style. Its sleek minimalist look belies innovative and thoughtful construction that will ensure you stay warm, dry, and focused on the run ahead.

The outer fabric and lining are both engineered with 4-way stretch so they move seamlessly with your every motion, ensuring total mobility whether you're skiing through tight trees or arcing elegant carves on your favorite groomed run. Besides providing complete protection from snow and slush, the Schoeller c_change membrane reacts to changes in temperature to keep you comfortable. When things start getting hot and sweaty, the pores in the membrane open up to allow more water vapor to escape.

There's also a Schoeller PCM lining, which contains countless tiny capsules that react to differences in temperature. When this happens, they change their state from solid to liquid, in which case heat is stored, or from liquid to solid, in order to release the stored heat in a cold environment. They thus compensate for excessively warm or cold temperatures to produce a comfortable personal climate. And if all that wasn't enough, the CM Ceramic membrane is embedded with heat-reflecting ceramic particles that help retain precious body heat, adding warmth without additional bulk.

  • High-end jacket for the discerning skier
  • Schoeller c_change membrane protects from elements
  • 4-way stretch fabric allows unrestricted movement
  • Schoeller PCM lining regulates temperature
  • Ceramic particles in membrane reflect body heat
  • Fully taped seams resist leaks
  • Hood is removable in milder weather

Size is too small

Size is too small. Who designed this jacket?

Hey Zhang,
Sorry the sizing didnt work out!
This is a European brand so it tends to run smaller than most
"American" sizing.
I'm happy to help with finding alternative options that fit you better though, just let me know!
Best,
Brittni

what is the method suggested to clean the jacket

Hey Craig,

This is recommended from Mountain Force directly: turn the jacket inside out and wash in a no spin with cold water using powdered detergent. Their rep recommended powdered detergent over a Nikwax wash and that liquid detergent can clog the membrane. Hang to dry, but you can throw in the dryer with no heat to give it some body. If you have any questions on the method or this jacket, feel free to reach me at cojohnson@backcountry.com or my direct line is 801.204.4547. Best, Connor
