Mountain Equipment Narwhal Jacket - Men's

A magical unicorn.

Much like the mythical, oceanic unicorn its named after, the Mountain Equipment Men's Narwhal Jacket offers protection that was once regarded to exist only in legends, but is now available to you in the form of a versatile hard shell. Designed to endure some of Mother Nature's most tenacious storms, the Narwhal features a 3-layer Drilite fabric, which is not only fully waterproof but incredibly breathable, while the fully taped seams further safeguard your core warmth and baselayers. However, should the temperatures begin to rise, the Narwhal is equipped with zippered underarm ventilation that provides on-the-go temperature regulation, so you're able to dump excessive heat without having to shed layers. The fully adjustable hem, hood, and cuffs offer a personalized look, and the alpine fit boasts an articulated shape to assure unimpeded mobility, no matter what your adventure entails.

Bombproof fit, Bombproof performance

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This jacket is gnarwally. The fit is perfect for us long lanky folk (slim and long through the body & sleeves), and the material is tough, very waterproof, and perfect. It's more of a stiff shell, but that is to be expected for a bombproof hard shell. The sleeves are nice and long, the zipper works well, and the harness pockets are surprisingly deep. The only thing is the helmet-compatible hood is wayy too massive when not wearing a helmet... Not super condusive to looking good with it up over a beanie, unless you like the hooded monk look.

Overall, this thing is rad. Stood out in a PNW downpour for 2 hours yesterday and my base layer was completely dry afterwards. 10/10 would reccomend to everyone who likes to stay dry when its rather wet out.
