Its Delta stretch fabric is quick to wick moisture and resistant to wear, so it won't be done after the first off-width you take it up. The fit of the Calico puts it close to the skin to reduce bulk and weight, so the flatlocked seams are a nice touch to reduce chaffing where the jacket rests against the skin. And since Mountain Equipment bound the hood, hem, and cuffs with a stretch Lycra material, the Calico helps trap warm air, so you stay cozy and comfortable when you're on belay or spotting your bouldering partner.
