Riding every day takes its toll on your bike, especially when components get grimy and grease washes away. Cleaning up your trusty steed certainly helps reduce the wear and tear, but there's nothing quite like a good lube up with Motorex City Lube. This universal lubricant not only makes things spin a little more smoothly, but also protects against corrosion, so components last longer. It's available both in a medium sized, 100ml bottle for drip-on applications on chains, as well as both a small 56ml and a larger 300ml spray can for all over lube application.
- Universal lube for speedy drivetrains
- Protects against corrosion and reduces wear
- Easy to apply drip on or spray on bottles
- 100ml bottle is drip on, 56ml and 300ml are aerosols
- Q & A
Great All-Around Lube
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I wanted to wait to use this lube a bit before reviewing. After hundreds of miles of commuting and pavement and gravel I would recommend it. It's a great all around product, quite durable and something I trust to not wear off fast in dusty conditions or in rain. While being relatively thick it doesn't attract dirt too badly either and my drivetrain seems to be running cleaner. If you're using your bike in all conditions, get this!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Grabbed some of the Motorex when my last bottle ran dry. Given the breadth and history of the company, I thought I'd give them a try, and I haven't been disappointed. Motorex recommends lubing the chain and letting it sit for 24hrs and then wiping off the excess. The adjustbale drip cap makes application efficient and easy. I've done that and have been very pleased with the results. On a recent trip to southern Utah, my chain was quiet and clean despite riding in less than ideal conditions. The chain didn't gather any unwanted debris despite numerous puddles and wet dirt. So far so good.
