All on the same team.

Switching to foam may feel like a betrayal, but really it's just expanding your arsenal. Explain it that way to your old PMX's, and maybe they'll be okay with Montana Fly Company's Swisher's Foam PMX joining their ranks. This fly sits high in the water to attract attention, and stands up to the motion of riffles with life-like action.

Swisher's Foam PMX is easily probably one of my top 3 hopper patterns for the rocky mountain west. For one, its based off a classic hopper/stone imitation in the PMX form and then they upgraded by adding foam and leg protectors. Secondly, it floats like a freaking boat. With the combo of that thick foam with hackle, post, and deer hair, bringing down this bug is going to be like bringing down an elephant, it aint happening. Lastly, it just catches fish. I've fished it in almost every color and it is a staple terrestrial for me when searching for fish or when guiding others to do so.

Get these, get some bead head nymphs, go hand out some lip jewelry.
