While you're certainly not opposed to lifting weights and flexing your muscles, you prefer your touring setup to abstain from feeling akin to a 30 pound cement block attached to your foot. Case in point, the Moment Bibby Tour Ski is anything but heavy and egocentric, meaning it has no problem lapping the same powder bowl time and time again, simply because it's fun (and who cares if anyone is watching). The Bibby Tour touts the same name as its older brother for, well, very obvious reasons. The folks over at Moment decided to take the same dependable performance of the sled-and-resort-friendly Bibby, but shaved off a few pounds, making it more appealing to skiers who prefer human-powered pursuits.

More specifically, the Bibby Tour features Moment's Low Fat Layup, which is significantly lighter than the original construction and consists of a paulownia and ash core, plus more carbon and lighter fiberglass. Not only does this design cut down on ounces, but it offers a playful feel underfoot while the triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber stringers provide the torsional stability you need for unimpeded versatility when it comes to tackling all sorts of terrain.

Meanwhile, the Mustache Rocker ensures the Bibby Tour maintains its directional roots. The Mustache Rocker combines decent amounts of tip and tail rocker with a solid cambered section underfoot, giving the ski a nearly unparalleled ability to float over soft snow, charge through chop, and slash big sideways turns when conditions call for it. Not to mention, the tails are simple to break out when you need to scrub speed, and the steel edges have been covered with a VDS rubber damping layer for a smoother, less chattery feel on hardpack.
