Now, the Moab 2 isn't reinventing the wheel—this boot simply touts a few new updates to bolster its comfort and support levels, and in turn ensuring us a more enjoyable hiking experience. Like its predecessor series, the Moab 2 is equipped with a waterproof and breathable M Select Dry membrane, which keeps our feet well defended against accidental puddle slips or light moisture. Meanwhile, the suede upper is fortified with mesh inserts to promote added breathability and comfort. An EVA footbed features arch and heel support, and the EVA midsole (along with the air cushion in heel) guarantees out-of-the-box comfort, support, and shock absorption—all of which are key necessities when hiking. And, last but certainly not least, the Vibram TC5+ outsole provides unencumbered traction underfoot thanks to its 5mm lugs and multi-directional design.

great fit...but
I was lways buy Merrell boots fire to their fit and comfort, but don't stay waterproof very long.

Very comfortable, but not waterproof.
I love the fit of the Moab shoes. They are my go to shoes for just about everything thing I do. I bought the mid waterproof for my fall raining day walks thinking they would keep my feet dry. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. I would describe them as water resistant, not waterproof. If you are going to be walking in very damp conditions these aren’t the shoes you want to be wearing.

Great footwear
Comfort out of the box, run a half size small, tough as nails, wear everyday in a construction element - two years strong and sign of the end yet…

Too snug
Too snug. I ordered the same size as I have in the past 6 Merrill's. This pair is too small. I had to wear them though.

Great product!
Really nice Moabs. I’ve always gotten the lower type, so this is the first high top I’ve had. Very comfortable, great footbed and support. I don’t hike anymore, but I bet these would be great on trail climbs. I’ve enjoyed them over the winter and into May just for everyday casual use, but may switch to something else (Merrell) for the warmer weather.

Couldn’t be happier!
I’m totally in love with this boot. It’s lightweight but warm and so comfortable! I have planter issues but not with this boot on my feet. Highly recommend.

Expected More from Merrel
Love these boots, but they offer no water protection at all, period. After returning my 1st pair, Merrel sent me out another one, free of charge, but they did not offer anything differently. What is really sad about these boots are we are only talking wet grass from the dew, not even rain! If you want a great comfortable shoe, these are fantastic, if you want any kind of waterproofing, these are not it!

Not flawless but still buying
Sole comes off in heel and sometimes toes. Try to seal back up but water gets in and they literally squeak when it’s wet out (a lot). If they weren’t so comfortable…

Poor Quality
Poor quality product. Ordered one pair. Both shoes cover soles are wrinkled and folded. Not wearable.
