We trust the Antora 2 Trail Running Shoe for our alpine pursuits because Merrell has integrated their extensive knowledge of hiking footwear into this running-specific model. Among the technical features within the shoe, the Vibram TC5+ rubber outsole stands out to us, thanks to its sticky traction on wet rocks, smooth slabs, and slick sections of muddy trail.

The perfect shoe
I wore this shoe for the entire Camino Frances - over 500 miles in 30 days. I had 1 blister, and that came from wearing wet flip flops after waking. These were the perfect shoe for me. When i got home i ordered 3 more pairs to ensure i can keep wearing the Antora 2 on my hiking adventures. My only complaint is they were totally worn out by the time i got to Santiago. Should have brought a second pair.

Best Buy and great fit!
Great fit and comfort for an everyday shoe or low mile hiking

Poor workmanship/ construction
I love the fit and comfort level of this shoe but within 1 month of me wearing them to my office job, the netting overlay started fraying and pulling apart. The shoes look like they have had some hard wear but they are only 2 months old. The sole isn't even slightly worn because I only wear them in my office. Very disappointed in the materials used on the outside of the shoe.

Meh..
Really loved the color and comfort of these but in a 4 month period the outer material started to break down. I’ve had3 other Antora’s and they are still holding up. Must have just got a bad shoe.🤷🏻♀️

Would be perfect...if more durable :-(
Pro: comfortable right out of the box for me (size 6; 4'11"; 125lbs) Con: not durable; uppers fraying in multiple places only with barely 6months of daily use (indoor gym; dog walking; trail running/jogging).

Comfort and style
I love the style but more importantly the comfort and support. This is my second pair!

what breaking in?
I have arthritis is all of my joingts. I am stuck on Merrell because the shoes almost always work for me- if they don't- back they go ans no issues with free returns. This Antora is a great colour to be sure but the comfort- I am limited to about a one kilometer trip once or, if its a good day, twice a day. I got them and immediately went fo a walk...no breaking in required. They are incredibly comfortable and provide excellent cushioning and support (arch included). Yay for Merrell!

Angora 2
Support, large-enough toe box, cute colors. Merrill's last a long time.

Love the look
I love the look and color of these shoes. I ordered them online, so I was surprised they weren’t as comfortable as my ASICS, but they’re still very comfortable. I’m probably going to put an arch support in them, but overall I’m very happy I bought them.
