MerrellAll Out Blaze Vent Waterproof Hiking Shoe - Women's

Attacks anything on the trail.

From the Olympic Peninsula's fern-lined trails to the rocky summits of Colorado's 14ers, the Merrell Women's All Out Blaze Vent Waterproof Hiking Shoe conquers anything on the trail with sure-footed grip and waterproof protection. The waterproof leather and M-Select waterproof, breathable membrane keep your feet blissfully dry through soaking trail surfaces and shallow stream crossings. Breathable mesh keeps your feet from overheating when the temperature soars throughout your hike. Plus, the bellows tongue keeps small pebbles from sneaking inside and poking your foot.

Bringing support for walking down steep inclines, the molded TPU external heel counter prevents the rear portion of the shoe from folding in on itself. E-foam midsole cushioning softens the impact from rock-strewn trails and uneven terrain. And because it's home on rough, craggy trails, the Vibram TC5+ sole features an aggressive lugged pattern.

Good hiking shoes

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These shoes are very comfortable for hiking, but I wish that they weren't so bulky.

Uncomfortable for my foot

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 9.5

Unfortunately this shoe did not fit correct. The tongue was uncomfortable and the front of the shoe was to tapered so my little toes were smashed. I have a narrow foot. I usually get a 9.5 and it seem a bit short. I love the look of this shoe. I was very bummed.

These shoes are great!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These Merrill hiking shoes are great! The sizing is right on, which is hard to find in other brands. The first time I wore them, I did a 4 mile hike and no sore spots or blisters! The sole is pliable and yet you don’t feel every little rock that you step on. I haven’t gotten them wet yet, so I don’t know about that waterproof mesh feature. But I have to say that I really like these shoes!
