Hit the dirt.
Outfitting your ride with a solid, fast-rolling set of hoops doesn't have to break the bank. The Mavic Crossride Tubeless Quest 27.5in WTS Wheelset pairs Mavic's legendary bombproof construction with an updated rim width and versatile tires for a resulting package that spins up in a snap and tracks confidently through technical trails.
Mavic utilizes a revamped aluminum rim with a wider, 21mm internal width to provide a solid tire platform that reduces sidewall bulge compared to previous iterations for a smooth, comfortable, and precisely confident ride. At the center sits Mavic's TS-2 freehub system, which features two simultaneously engaging pawls and a light, stiff Monobloc axle compatible with both Shimano/SRAM and SRAM XD freehubs. The hub set boasts sealed cartridges to lock out dirt for smooth spinning through any amount of dust, mud, and muck.
The wheelset comes outfitted with Mavic's Crossride Tubeless Quest tires, whose All Round Compound and Guard reinforced casing for durability across versatile terrain. This wheelset is packaged as a 15QR front and 12 x 142mm rear axle combination, and is easily converted to quick-release axle standards with separately sold end caps.
- Q & A
Tons of value!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
We'd all love to run a super expensive wheelset like the incredible Enve M60 HV wheels. For most of though we don't have an extra $2,700.00 laying around to spend on wheels. Despite this we're still determined to get out and have fun on the trails. This is where a wheelset like the Crossride Quest WTS comes into play.
For the money this package is packed full of awesomeness. You get a stout wheelset with tires ready to run tubeless. As far as I know no one else offers a package like this and certainly not at this price range.
The tires set up tubeless easily. They roll well and offer lots of traction. I haven't had any issues with durability and they have held up to the dry rocky terrain I ride most often here in Utah. This may not be the lightest wheelset out there but you're also not spending your last two paychecks to afford them.
Overall this package is great value. You get a durable wheelset with tires ready to go for an incredible price.
Does anyone know what just the tire weighs?
