Winter is cold and windy. That doesn't mean you have to hunker down inside and watch Paris-Roubaix highlights from the '90s while you dream of spring, though, because Mavic's Cosmic Elite Thermo Men's Jacket is designed to cut the wind and provide light insulation to take the bite out of chilly winter rides. By laminating a wind-blocking Warm Race Shell windproof membrane onto the soft polyester fabric, Mavic made the Cosmic Elite a jacket that's suited for hard riding in chilly conditions, although you'll probably want something heavier if you're riding in face-numbing cold.

Despite being windproof, the Cosmic Elite manages to be plenty breathable as well. Its breathable nature, along with zippered ClimaVent vents at the sleeves, prevents the accumulation of clammy sweat. An additional stretch insert allows unlimited mobility, while a silicone gripper at the hem and stretchy Ergo cuffs ensure you'll stay covered and draft free when you're pedaling hard into headwinds. Reflective highlights help keep you visible, and a combination of drop-in back and zippered front pockets keep your bottles, food, and phone within easy reach.
