East Coast attitude.

Bringing to mind slopeside waffles, rolling Green Mountain views, and tight, old-fashioned tree lines, the Marmot Men's Sugarbush Jacket won't shy away from bulletproof ice or grey, bitter days. When you show up at your hometown hill to lay your edges down on wintry mix over hardpack, the Sugarbush will accompany you with its two-layer MemBrain waterproof fabric sealing out sleet, snow, and the occasional raindrops while still giving you room to breathe when you warm up.

Marmot shaped the Sugarbush to accommodate any layering combination you need, be it fleece and down for frigid summit lift rides or a slim merino baselayer on a spring day. It also adds valuable PitZips to keep air moving when you're earning whoops from the chairlift on a leg-burning bump run, along with a powder skirt to keep that heavy Nor'Easter storm snow under your skis and not inside your jacket. A wealth of roomy pockets keep your pass, phone, and favorite midday snacks handy on the days the snow is too good to take a lunch break, and the adjustable waist hem and arm cuffs allow you to dial in just the right fit to keep you shredding in comfort.

  • Embrace any snow you can find in this versatile shell
  • Waterproof shell shields you from rain, sleet, and snow
  • Regular fit accommodates your layering needs
  • Breathable membrane encourages ample moisture transfer
  • Helmet-compatible hood for earning storm-day turns
  • Multiple internal and external pockets keep your stuff safe

Great Jacket for a Variety of Conditions

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Only good things to say about this jacket! I used it nearly every day for about two weeks straight and it held its own in a number of conditions. Blasting wind, soggy snow, ski touring, resort riding, you name it--the Sugarbush performed, keeping me dry, warm, and stoked! The material has a nice supple feel to it, but was effective at blocking wind as well. I was using a medium-weight mid layer most of the trip, but the fit is such that you could go heavier for super frigid days or completely lose a mid-layer all together. I've got the denim/steel onyx color way and the photo accurately represents it. The pockets are thoughtfully placed and easy to access. Overall, a versatile shell that looks and feels great!

Great Jacket for a Variety of Conditions

Thanks for the input, Ivan! Your comment pushed me to make the final decision on THIS jacket for my boyfriend! :) I was looking for just that-- something that will keep him warm and dry!

Color is totally off in photo

  • Fit: True to size

Bought this coat thinking it was bright red/white/light blue, based on the photo. It's not - it's almost a light gray/brick red. Looks totally different than the photo. Returned.

Agreed Andrew! This color is definitely more a brick red (darker) and the middle color is a light khaki color. Still a great color, but be aware it's not like the photo. Still a great jacket though!

BTW, 1 star for the color being off is a LAME review for the gear community.
