City style made warmer.
Walking the city streets in the dead of winter has its pros and cons. The air is crisp and clear and you can always see the top of the skyscrapers, but you also have to deal with the bone-chilling cold that can freeze you from head to toe. Prevent freezing your knees off with Marmot's Strollbridge Down Jacket. This coat is lined with fleece and stuffed with down so that you can be your warmest, but still enjoy the city lights at night, the ice skating rink in the park, and waiting for the bus to get home to the 'burbs. With hand-warming pockets, you can count on feeling your fingers during the entire adventure. And you can stash you keys, wallet, and phone in the Strollbridge's inner chest pocket for safekeeping. You can bank on being city stylish with the faux fur buff on this coat's hood, and you can bank on being cozy warm with the baffled, longer fit.
- A longer down coat for casual wear in cold weather
- Hand warming pockets keep fingers warm
- Internal zippered pocket for stashing small things
- Removable faux fur buff on removable baffled hood
- Tapered waist for warmer fit
- Q & A
Great style; poor zipper
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Medium
I loved the style and fit of this coat. It did not seem like it would be quite as warm as my current North Face. I returned it because the zipper was incredibly hard to zip. About half the time I tried I could not zip it at all.
Very Warm and Pretty in Arctic Chill now
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Small
I researched and tried on 10 coats from 5 brands and this was the keeper.
PROS: Love the plum color (very unique), the optional hood & fur (both of which fits without falling onto my face), 1 inner & deep outer pockets, slim fit & flattering pattern, fleece cuffs, wind resistant. CON: Have to take time to line up the zipper exactly before it will pull up which makes me a bit nervous.
