Be proactive about cold with the Marmot Reactor Jacket. This full-zip fleece features flat seamlock construction for comfort so you can wear it day in and day out. Zippered hand-warmer pockets and a bonded zippered sleeve pocket provide ample storage for your cell phone, wallet, or hands. A hemline drawcord and wind flap behind the front zipper adds protection from fall gusts when you’re raking leaves.

Can this fleece zip into a Marmot shell?

Can this fleece zip into a Marmot shell?

Best Answer

This question was answered below, and as stated there: "No, only the Marmot Warmlight fleece and the Cauldron Jacket and Vest are zip in compatible."

You could easily wear this fleece under any shell though and it will work perfectly fine. There isn't really a need to zip the two layers together.

Marmot Reactor Jacket

Marmot's own Curly shows off the Reactor Jacket in this edition of Curly's 30s.

Just purchased this jacket as I was looking for a light fleece for foggy, or chilly early morning / evening hikes and am planning to wear my Patagonia Houdini as a light shell (light rain) if needed.

I am 6' on the nose, and weigh in at 210lbs with a 45" chest. As always smack dab in the middle of everything when it comes to size charts. I ordered the XL as I prefer a slightly looser fit, but had heard Marmot runs a bit big (not so with my Precip jacket I purchased 6 years ago). I know I can exchange, but wanted to know if XL is the right size.

Thanks

I have 5 lbs on you. If you like a loose fit, get the XL. I like a snug fit, and L is perfect for me.

I have a Marmot Precip jacket, would this fleece fit under it? Would this be a good combo for skiing?

It will fit under as long as you dont have a super small precip...
It would be good for spring skiing or when its not super cold but you might get chilly on some colder days

Is the Reactor jacket fairly light weight fleece?

Peter,
Thanks for your question. The Marmot Reactor is built from Polartec Classic 100 weight fleece. There is 100 weight, 200 weight, and 300 weight fleece in the Polartec fleece family. That being said, the Reactor is lightweight, and would work great for three season use. I hope this is helpful for you.
