Why We Like The Montreaux 2.0 Down Jacket

Whether she's out walking the dog or waiting for the morning schoolbus, your winter warrior will take on the cold in toasty comfort and modern style with the Marmot Montreaux 2.0 Down Coat. Water-resistant down gives her dialed-in warmth when the temps head south, and the knee-length cut adds warmth and style. The shell is made of ripstop polyester to keep the super-warm 700-fill down in place. Marmot stuffed the hood full of the same insulation, and gave it a removable faux-fur ruff for increased style and comfort; as if the microfleece internal cuffs and lined handwarmer pockets weren't already enough.

My kid loves this jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great looking, durable, warm, practical jacket for my 7-year-old. Perfect for walking to school, snowball fights and snow angels!

Amazing find!

I bought it on sale-with great luck! Its very warm! Light weight and dries quickly from snow moisture..the orange color is even prettier than on definitely size up. I ordered the M for our tall 6 year old. I hope.she gets another winter out of it, was hoping but not sure. Very pleased customer I am.

warmest coat?

i expected this to be thick since it says the warmest down coat.... it came in just ok, a little bit thin...this probably just barely enough for Chicago winter when it's sub 20f

Good but Wish the Original was Available

My family loves Marmot coats. We all have at least 2, and have purchased this brand over the years because of its reliably warm coats for Northern winters. However, this iteration of the Monteaux Kids down coat is thin and is missing some of the warmth. I’m not sure what the makers were attempting to achieve, but it isn’t 100% to our liking as other purchases have been. The next time we need a coat for our kids, we may look to other brands to open our options toward better quality.

Perfect kids’ puffer for winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm, soft, light, and cute! My daughter absolutely loves this puffer coat; it is like a thick down comforter and is her favorite for staying cozy in the winter weather. When we need more water / wind proofing for a day out in the snow, we go to the Marmot Polar Down Jacket.

Definitely worth it

I got my 10 year old a size large so she can use it next year too. It’s a comfortable light weight coat and it keeps her warm.

The original was better :(

We have re-purchased this jacket THREE times over the last five years as my daughter has grown. We just came back to add one for her sister, but this new version of the Montreaux coat isn't nearly as great as the previous version. Most importantly, this one is much thinner and doesn't appear to be as warm. Also, the style is just not as cute as the first iteration and the material isn't as nice, either. Please bring back the old one!

Warmest Coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Granddaughter wanted a warmer, longer winter coat. Her legs were always cold in the usual hip length jackets. The soft brushed lining in the upper body and the pockets adds to the warmth and comfort. The hood and fleece lined collar keep her head warm. She doesn't have any trouble with the zipper. She loves this coat.
