Lightray Jacket

The Marmot Lightray Jacket is a super versatile jacket built for skiing and snowboarding that can also be used as heavy-duty shoulder season rain jacket. Don't this versatility deter you from using this as a ski jacket because it is packed with everything you would want out of a high performance ski shell.

The 2L Gore-Tex membrane is weather resistant for snowy days and breathable climate control on warm sunny days, while large pitZips dump excess heat when you find your self hiking for turns and really working up a sweat. To ensure that you are always prepared for the day the Lightray features multiple internal and external pockets to stash your daily essentials and a helmet compatible hood protects you from sudden snow squalls.

  • Versatile lightweight shell for skiing, snowboarding, and hiking
  • Gore-Tex 2L membrane is weather resistant and extremely breathable
  • DriClime chin guard prevents the jacket icing up around your face
  • Recco reflector makes it possible to locate you in emergencies
  • Helmet compatible hood protects you from unexpected squalls
  • Multiple pockets hold all of your daily essentials

Great all around Ski Jacket

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I searched for a few months for the right ski jacket for the skiing I do at Mt. Bachelor. This jacket has exceeded my expectations. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great jacket for skiing. Room for layering as well.

How thick would you say this shell is? Is it just a skin or is there any sort of extra lining inside? Wondering how warm it will be and how many underlying layers I would need for skiing. Thanks so much

Just as ordered

Great jacket. The coloring is spot on. It fits true to size. Looking forward to ski season in Utah with the jacket

John, the jacket is a hard shell so it's very windproof and waterproof as you'd expect, and even holds a fair amount of heat. On a regular day i usually wear a skintight baselayer and a midlayer longsleave on top of that and am fine in weather from 15-35 degrees. Below that add a layer... above that wear a hoodie etc

Does this jacket have wrist gaiters?
