City style, ski protection.

Marmot's Bridgeport Down Jacket gives your boy some style for the city and a lot of protection for the ski resort. Its fully taped MemBrain shell provides the same waterproofing that Marmot's ski jackets have, and Down Defender helps the lightweight 700-fill down insulation retain its warmth in damp conditions. Angel-Wing Movement ensures a full range of motion when he's hiking up the terrain park, and the removable hood accommodates sunny skies. Marmot added microfleece internal cuffs and a Sherpa fleece lining for extra coziness. Hook-and-loop straps at each cuff and a drawcord at the hem provide proper coverage and extra security from stormy weather.

Still keeping my son warm after 2 years

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my son two years ago and it is still in really good shape for having gone through 3 wet Pacific Northwest winters. As far as sizing it was a little large for him when he first got it and I have a feeling it will be good for another year. The jacket itself will probably be in good condition for another 5 years. It's really well made.
I didn't think it would be a useful feature but the removable hood has been utilized more often than I thought it would. My son likes to take if off when we go snowboarding because it doesn't make sense to keep it on with a helmet.
This jacket will keep your child warm in almost any weather. In fact we sometimes need to reduce the amount of layers my son puts on just because this jacket will render multiple layers unnecessary.
Its such a puffy jacket it almost adds an extra layer of protection from falls, which is great when your child is learning to ski or snowboard.

Love this coat!

We now have this coat in three sizes -- it is the only coat we have found that keeps our boys completely warm and dry for a full day of skiing, sledding, building snowmen or whatever else, no matter how cold or snowy the weather. (We started with size small, then got the younger brother an xs, and now the older brother a size large. The size small was worn daily all winter long for three years straight and still looks great. Thank you Marmot!

This jacket is no joke. A bit on the pricy side but its quality. Moved to the Pacific Northwest and this jacket is so far up to the task of handling the cold rainy days. It's probably meant for colder snowy climates. 700 fill down means its like my son is walking around in a 30 degree sleeping bag with sleeves.
The jacket has a little cinch to tighten the jacket around the waist which is handy since my son is on the thin side.
I got the small size and it looks ginormous on my son and he's a skinny, about average height 5 year old. Probably would have been a better fit to go with an XS. But at least now he'll have this jacket for a couple more years.
Four stars instead of five just because it is pricy for a kids jacket.
