Lightweight hybrid shell protection and premium features for optimal comfort.

The Marker Ampire Helmet combines lighter weight hybrid shell protection with premium features to protect your head while offering optimal comfort. The helmet features a hard shell upper and lightweight lower combined with an EPS foam core to offer durable impact protection. Along with the weight savings this helmet offers, its climate-control slider makes it easy to customize your desired level of ventilation, even with a glove on or while moving. The MarkAir ventilation system allows a comfortable level of airflow that prevents your head from getting too cold even with the vents fully open, or too warm when they're fully sealed. It also helps keep your goggles fog-free.

Quickly adjust the helmet fit with a dial in back, and secure the strap closed with an easy-to-operate sliding magnetic snap. Both are easy to operate with one hand and without having to remove a glove. A low-profile strap system at the back of the helmet keeps your goggles secured in place, even if you push them off your eyes and back on the helmet. Ear pads offer added warmth and are audio-compatible to accommodate your MP3 player or cell phone, and can be removed if weather conditions don't call for them. The antibacterial performance lining inside the helmet provides thermally-efficient, moisture-wicking comfort, but can be removed if you prefer the feel of your own beanie.

Fantastic! Great features

Great Construction with adjustable vents, and magnetic buckle lock. The rotate to dial is great. Works with my goggles.

LOVE this helmet!

Great fit, and goggles work well with them. Favorite color is green, so that was a deciding factor too. Think SNOW!!

I was wondering if the Marker Ampire Helmet would be a good fit for an 11 year old boy?

Warm and comfortable

Does exactly what a helmet is supposed to do: keeps your head warm and well protected. Smith I/OS fit well with the helmet.

Got the helmet based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Fits well, and looks good. Have not crash tested it yet....

    Fits well/good vents

I bought 3 helmets and this one fit the best. Definitely runs a bit big, I compared to a POC which was an XL and a few others brands in L but this model seemed to fit best for my oval shaped head best;). Vents awesome and with (chips /wireless speakers bought seperately) I have nothing bad to say. Basic design, cool visor to cut down on the dweeb factor and the magnet clip is a great feature as well. no gaper gap. digging muted colors too. Over all a solid purchase for the $.
If you find this helmet fits your head, cant go wrong with this model.

does the shell come in different sizes or only the foam?

Fits very large oval shaped heads

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So I have a lot of trouble finding helmets to fit my very large, oval shaped head without making me look like Peyton Manning after a football game (forehead pressure point / red spot). The Large here fits better than most other companies XL or even XXL.

Its on the lighter side of helmets, least compared to ones I've had in the past. The ear pockets are perfect for the bluetooth headphones I have (Outdoor Tech Chips), and the soft exterior of the pockets allow use of the buttons on the headphones. The helmet fit system works well enough that I don't feel the need to crank it down super tight. The goggle clip seems very durable. And the helmet matches up very nicely with my goggles (Smith I/O regular sized), no gaper gap, no feeling like the brim is in the way.

Complaints I do have, which if I could would result in a 4.5, but not enough to knock down to a 4. The ear pads don't quite cover enough of the ear for me, leaving the bottom bit a touch more exposed than ideal. The vent slider doesn't stay in place very well, and I've not hit a tree. It prefers to slide back on its own, which is the closed setting.

Overall a good purchase, especially for the price.

    Solid Helmet

Comfortable, seems secure, seems to work based on a few impacts. Can add speaker system to earpads, which is a plus. The buckle is unique and really cool, it uses a magnetic system to make it easy to unlock with a single gloved hand. Vent system is not particularly durable, the slider thingy broke first time I hit a tree.

You do work in your helmet!! "... first time I hit a tree" - Nice!
