Stoney HS Pant

Whether you're scoping lines deep in the backcountry or searching for the resort's hidden gems, the Mammut Stoney HS Pant will give you all the mobility and comfort you need to find and shred the season's best turns. Thanks to the Mammut DRYTechnology material, you'll have lots of comfortable stretch on the slopes, as well as dependable waterproofing and breathability for days when you're floating through waist deep snow. Subtle inner thigh vents release heat and let in cool air when you're hiking to higher lines or just working up a sweat bouncing through trees and over drops.

Down by the ankles you have boot gaiters to keep deep snow from flying in, and Cordura reinforcements at the cuffs to resist abrasion from sharp ski edges and crampons. Speaking of crampons, this pant has easy adjustability of the leg width, so you can rock a slimmer fit and not have to worry about accidental tearing from your crampon edges. The waist is also adjustable, and has loops for attaching suspender straps or connecting to a compatible ski jacket so you can give yourself added coverage in truly deep conditions. Rounding it out are hand and thigh pockets to hold any trail maps or small pieces of gear you need to bring along.

  • Get mobility and comfort in the backcountry with this shell pant
  • DRYTechnology fabric offers waterproof protection and easy stretch
  • Inner thigh vents let in cool air after long skin track climbs
  • Ankle gaiters stop deep snow from creeping into your boots
  • Reinforced cuffs and adjustable leg width avoid damage from crampons
  • Adjustable waist and suspender compatibility let you customize fit
  • Hand and thigh pockets let you bring along maps and snacks

Runs Small!!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 34

I have been wearing Mammut Stoney HS ski pants for close to a decade and would give previous pairs 5 stars - but not this pair. Very small in the upper thigh and somewhat in the waist - they have a distinct "bell bottom" appearance and the quality does not seem up to par.

Great for Touring/Riding

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 36"

Bought these for a backcountry hut trip in Colorado and they performed perfectly. They move and breathe well during touring, keep you warm in transition, and provide plenty of flexibility while riding. Love 'em.

Tight Thighs

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 36 reg

Really nice pant. Like the material. Fit well in waist but too tight in thighs and mine aren't super big so fits slim in legs. Had to return due to fit.

Agree!
I had to return a pair of these as well for the same reason. I REALLY wanted to keep them. Great workmanship and materials and very well thought out. But I had two issues:
1. the thighs are WAY too tight and mine are not big either.
2. I didn't care for the fleece-like inner lining. It was grippy and just made the tight thighs thing worse.
Loosen up the entire fit and use a slippery inner lining or none at all and these would be amazing.

Waist was good but needed just a bit of loosening because the adjustment went from 36 to smaller. I would have preferred it to be a 35 to 37 adjustment. Length was spot on.

Mammut Stoney HS Pant

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I gave these as a gift but here is some feedback:
The Mammut pants that go along with my Jacket fit perfectly without the need of a belt! Best thing about them I learned after getting them dirty from my wet black gloves this week was that with just some soap and warm water I was able to clean them to like-new condition. That makes me happy as the pants are neon yellow and I am not great at keeping things clean!

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
