I've always had ski jackets that are great in the snow, and puffy coats that are great in the cold... but nothing respectable looking to wear in to the office that's both warm and water/snow proof. This jacket is perfect for that, it looks nice and clean so I can wear it with pretty much any level of outfit, it's warm enough to wear on the coldest winter days with some layers under it, and it's super waterproof. I walked a mile the other night to dinner and it was 32 F and pouring rain and this thing was incredible. I know that's not super cold, but it's pretty much the worst case scenario for a puffy coat since it was rain instead of snow so my puffy would have been soaked.
Fit is true to size, I'm always between Large and XL and I went XL so I could wear some layers underneath.
