Conquer mountains.

The Mammut Women's Mittellegi Pro Jacket thrives in the mountains so you can climb, ski, and hike comfortably no matter what the weather looks like. Its three-layer Gore-Tex Pro shell gives this jacket excellent waterproof protection that keeps you dry whether you're in a serious storm or plowing through powder. Despite its incredible waterproof qualities, this jacket remains highly breathable to keep you comfortable when you work up a sweat while you hike and climb your way to the top. And an active fit pulls the Mittellegi close to your body to reduce bulk while the Frontreach sleeves give you the mobility you need to pull, crank, and climb without any restrictions.

The Mittellegi also features underarm venting that lets out some steam when you start to sweat hiking to the top of powder-capped peaks. Mammut tailored the powder skirt with a feminine fit for more comfort, and you can remove it when you're sporting this jacket on snow-less outings. The Monk hood cinches tightly across either your head or helmet to protect you from the worst weather, and Mammut reinforced it to withstand strong gusts of wind. Buttons on the inside of the jacket's collar allow you to fold the collar inside the jacket in order to get it out of your face when you have the hood up. Extra-wide cuffs accommodate sufficient space for gloves, or you can cinch them across the wrists with the hook-and-loop tabs. And you can access both the pockets with a harness and backpack on so you're set for some mountain adventures.

Fabulous Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

Love love love it, I've taken it skiing in down to -10F weather and it's amazing. Pockets for everything, nice and roomy so under layers fit under it, perfect sleeve width for gloves. The zipper is a little difficult as others have mentioned but that's because it's a completely waterproof coat, it's really not that bad.

Is the zipper covered by a manufacturer warranty?

Yes it is. The whole jacket has a lifetime warranty, so you are covered!

zipper doesn't work

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I can't really evaluate the jacket if I can't zip it up - which may be why it ended up at the outlet. I'm considering an exchange (and Back country customer support always great to work with!) but concerned that the zipper would malfunction quickly even in one that works. I wonder if the manufacturer's warranty would cover that?

Some details great, others less so.

This coat is exactly as it is described above. It appears well made and is a very technically sophisticated coat. However, for the cost I am not sure it is worth it. Pros: powder skirt works great, sealed zippers, very water proof, extremely lightweight, and good overall fit. Cons: For the cost, I wished for a few more frills. High "crinkle" factor. Zipper very difficult to pull up to the top with mittens/gloves. Wanted lining in the pockets and/or something soft against my chin when zipper up. Perhaps there is nothing wrong with the coat, maybe just not a good match for me.

what is the colour of the inner colour of the mammut mittellegi Pro jacket in cyan blue? thanks

The majority of the inner material is grey. It does have some orange by the storm flap that will be near your face.
