As another reviewer commented, these might be good for a skinny dude, and by skinny, I mean really skinny. I'm 6' and 170lbs athletic build, but by no means huge. These pants were skin tight on my calves - it would be really tight with long johns and tall socks. I can't really imagine who they were targeting with the cut of these. overall, I liked the feel and features of the pants besides the fit.

I spent several days in these pants carving down the slopes on a sit-ski. Loved them! Used them with temps in the teens. Kept me warm but not too warm. They are very comfortable!

This pant is exactly what I was looking for for backcountry skiing. Its a combination of water resistant areas for protection and fleece areas for breathability. I have pretty big thighs, glutes and calves compared to average mountain athlete. The cut of the pant is very slim, especially from the knees down. It was difficult to get the bottoms over my ski boots. Also the pants were so tight that my beacon barely fit in the pocket. I wound up returning these, but for a skinny dude, I think these would be great.
