Put some zen on your feet.

The hardest sends always seem to happen when you least expect it—you're not feeling great, or you're tired, or you don't really care, and then BANG! You're topping out. The Mad Rock Lotus Women's Climbing shoe aims to give you that top-out buzz every climb, with an aggressive downturn, slipper-style design that's ideal for extra-steep sport climbs and boulder problems. The Lotus rocks an ultra-sticky Science Friction 3.0 rubber sole that sticks to rock like gum to hair, and also uses Mad Rock's polycarbonate Arch Flex system to help provide a super-snug, sensitive fit.

The top of the shoe features Mad Rock's Power Upper rubber toe patch to help you work your way through those overhanging toe-hooky problems, and the Edge heel is ridged to help you lock onto tenuous heel hooks. One hook-and-loop strap complements the Lotus' snug fit—the synthetic Syn Flex upper won't stretch or deform like leather—making the Lotus' super-easy to take on and off in between redpoint attempts.

Runs 1 US Size Small

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Really nice shoe at a great price. Take into account that Mad Rocks are 1 US Size smaller than a Scarpa Origin. Checked this for a Lotus and Redline. 1 US Size is the size of a dime, that's a big difference if your Scarpas fit nicely!

Great Shoes

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Absolutely love these shoes, I’ve worn them for years. The rubber is sticky and actually lasts pretty long in my experience. I do a fair bit of competing, and these worked well on everything from slabs to roofs. The heels have a little rim on them too which was great for heel hooking. My street shoe is a 7.5 and I wore a 7.

Read this for additional sizing beta!!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

To preface, my feet are usually size 7.5 and on the wider side (esp. around the toe-knuckles). My sport/bouldering shoes of choice are the Evolve shakras, but after getting those re-soled, I decided I wanted a cheaper shoe to destroy in the gym. As per recommendations here, I ordered size 9. They were slightly too big... so I returned and got a 8.5. They fit but I wish I had gotten an 8 and here is why: while it's nice that I didn't have to break into these shoes, I have to pull the straps super tight to make the fit snug. The heel doesn't necessarily slip, but it's not as snug as I like for maximal control. I generally prefer a tighter fit, so I think that half size down would have been perfect. All this said and done, I recommend you order 1 size up for an easier break-in (and if being super snug isn't essential to you) or only 0.5 size up if you want a more snug fit. I hope this was helpful :) Overall I really like these shoes!

Everyfoots different

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

After reading the reviews I decided to go with 2 sizes up, but that ended out not being the best fit. I have rather narrow feet and wear a size 7 street shoe. The size 8 had a rather loose fit around the top of my foot. Even with strapping down the velcro as far as it would go there was still dead space in the shoe. I am going to return this size and consider only going up a half size, try the 7.5.. but I have a hunch that this shoe style won't work for my narrow foot... Overall, I was really excited to try this shoe but ti didn't workout. Be weary if you have a narrow skinny foot!!! maybe only size up 1/2 a size.
