    Gemini Locking Carabiner

You have enough to worry about while belaying already so use the Mad Rock Gemini Locking Carabiner as an extra defense against crossloading while giving a catch. With this B-shaped, double-basket carabiner, you can slide your belay device in the top while the bottom biner attaches to your belay loop so you can keep your belay device oriented correctly whether you're giving your buddy a catch on a single-pitch sport climb or you're patiently belaying while your friend works out the pro on a multipitch. Lock the top gate and it will lock the bottom at the simultaneously so you don't have to remember to screw two gates shut every time you gear up to belay.

    • A double carabiner for preventing crossloading while belaying
    • Double-gate design keeps belay device oriented upright
    • Locking gate screws shut and blocks other gate from opening
    • Lightweight design ideal for both trad and sport climbing sessions

    Overkill At its finest

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this as a package deal. I really wanted to try out the new mad rock life guard, this funky little beaner came with it. It does the thing, never will you end up cross loading your belay beaner. That being said, just pay attention when you climb, and it wont happen either. I have retired this piece of gear to my "gym only" bag. It is overkill, for sure. The lifeguard however, is money! Usually I'm not a fan of madrocks stuff, unless I'm working as a climbing gym manager, then heck yes...lol...but that lifeguard is freaking sweet!
