Living the lush lotion life. Part of why Mad Alchemy is so good is that the alchemists have a passion for embrocation. They don't only use it when it's cold and grey, but when it's warm and sunny. As such, they've minted a non-warming Warm Weather Summer Embrocation.
Yes, it's an embrocation for days when you don't need a base layer. Part protection, part inspiration, part ritual, it has the body and shine of their hot rubs, but with crisp, summery scents that are appropriate when you're pulling out the summer jerseys and donning sunscreen. They tell us "there's an embrocation for every day and every climate," and the non-warming cream covers the days when you're thinking more about sweating than staying warm.
The main ingredients are the same as they use for the rest of the line: grapeseed and rapeseed oils, beeswax, and shea butter. Added to that are spearmint and eucalyptus essential oils. The former is slightly cooling to the nostrils, and the latter helps keeps bugs at bay.
The Mad Alchemy Warm Weather Summer Embrocation comes in a 4 oz (120ml) tub.
- Q & A
Dope Leg Goop
I've always wanted to try embro but never could because I live in hawaii. I was thrilled when I learned of this product. Gives your calves a good shine. Not crazy cooling like eurostyle chamois cream but it's definitley there. Great as a pre ride muscle rub and helped loosen up my stiff old man knees. I will say that this has beeswax in it and the first time I wore it ai got stung by a bee. I haven't been stung in almost ten years. Coincidence? Whatever. Still love it!
Summer sheen! Look Euro!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is great in summer. What you get is very slight cooling effect, super euro sheen on the legs, minimal color and mild pleasant smell. Takes a second wash in shower like most embrocations.
