This coat is super warm and I will be protected from the brutal cold of NYC winters. For the first time I wore it with just a long sleeve T-shirt, when it was about 34F with 30F windchill, and felt great. I did have to size up to M because the coat is on the narrower side in the hips. I love that the entire hood is removable because I don't like wearing it. It would be nice if Mackage offered to sell the fur separately. Its presence raises the price of the coat probably by $100-$200 and since I am not going to be wearing it, I feel that it is a waste of my money and an animal's life.
What disappointed me most is the plastic zipper. For this much money a sturdier zipper would be more appropriate.
