Great pants on the small side

I am a 34 x 34, I had ordered 50, because I wear that in Fjallraven. I had to exchange for 52 which fits just right and has also the right length, the 50 was a slight bit too short and tight.
Although I had missed the waist's Velcros which allow for adjustment.
The pants are warm when all zipped up, cool when opened up, and so far fairly water resistant, probably because they are new, although there is a good amount of cotton that gets soaked quickly.
They allow good movement considering the cut, and they are lighter than comparable pants from other brands.
Honestly though, these look better but I have some much cheaper pants that perform a lot better in the rain and mud, and I always have to be so careful to not bruise my fancy pants... It feels a bit silly.

    These pants are perfect!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 52

The fit , the looks, the feel, the performance were all top notch. Purchased these to treck around the Scottish highlands and they were just fantastic. Bonus is that they look really cool as well.

    These pants are perfect!

    Great shot Mike!

Fantastic pant that met all my needs!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

I was so Impressed with this pant! sent me this pant to use during my 20 day trip in the Andes of Peru.

My first impression was that they run incredibly small. I ordered a Euro 50 (supposedly a 35" waist, I'm a 34" waist) and it was 2 sizes too small. I ordered a Euro 54 (37" waist) and it fit perfect.

After my initial issues with sizing the experience could not have been better!

I was skeptical that I would stay dry in the intense rain storms that happen in the higher altitudes. The pants performed perfectly with no need to throw on rain pants over them.

They also breathe so well that I never felt the need to wear my hiking shorts even on 75 degree days. The crotch zip vents and the full leg zips work well to keep the heat down. The zippers themselves work smoothly and with one hand.

I'm a skeptic and thought there was no way one pant could work for so many conditions. These pants do it all and I now know why they command the high price tag. You won't need a second pair of hiking pants with these. I wore them everyday for 20 days and they surprised me with there versatility and performance.

I can't recommend them enough! Just order a size or two larger.

Fantastic pant that met all my needs!

What is your inseam? How did that work out for you with the larger size?

RobK My inseam is a 32. The larger size was perfect. The fit was just like it was supposed to be. Generous but not baggy.
