Made to tackle the toughest conditions on Earth.
Lowa designed the 8000 GTX Boot to help pro mountaineers survive in some of Earth's most inhospitable environments. Focusing on warmth, stability, and durability, Lowa engineers developed a boot that can handle conditions that would destroy other mountaineering boots and leave you stranded in the death zone.
The Expedition 8000s are equipped with the technology to keep your feet dry, warm, and protected even during some of the most punishing trips. These boots comply with automatic crampons, so you can get on the ice and stay there. The PrimaLoft insulation and Duratherm lining keep your toes toasty in the coldest conditions. These boots are built with a Cordura outer, so they are ready for any rocks, axes, and ice you throw at them, too.

- Q & A
The photo of the Lowa 8000 RD appears to be essentially the same boot as the 6000 RD . Aside from the "8" in the logo, it looks to be exactly the same as the 6000. Also, it doesn't match the 8000 on the Lowa website. Is this a photo of the actual boot, or was this generated from the 6000 RD?
Thanks for your great question! I just talked with our warehouse and they visually checked the product with the image posted. This product, the Lowa Expedition 8000 EVO RD Boot, looks like the image provided on the distributor's site found here: https://www.lowaboots.com/mens/mountaineering/expedition-8000-evo-rd-lime-silver
Sorry for any confusion! We will work on getting our image updated ASAP! But - yes: it matches Lowa's site.
