There's nothing introductory about it.
The Louis Garneau Comp Suit is built to take you from triathlon newbie to experienced racer. With a cut that favors freedom of motion, and chlorine-resistant materials, it’s perfect for training, instead of being a race-day-only affair. And thanks to its sleek, one-piece design, it helps you to slip through the water, the air, and the pack, until you come out on top.
Garneau constructed the Comp suit from its Endurexx fabric with Lycra X-Life. To ensure that you can train all season, indoors and out, it’s chlorine resistant. Lesser materials can deteriorate when faced with regular in-pool use, but with the Comp suit, you can train in the same suit you race in, so you feel comfortable when the big day comes. The X-Life Lycra means that it resists stretching and blowouts, further enhancing the life of the suit. After all, if you’re new to triathlons, the last thing you want to do is throw money away on a suit with a limited lifespan, and with the Comp suit, that won’t be an issue.
The one-piece design is ideal for racing, as it provides both aerodynamic and hydrodynamic efficiency that’s unparalleled by two-piece options. By eliminating a gap in the middle, both air and water move smoothly around the suit, so you can focus on propelling yourself forward without undue drag. To those ends, the shoulders and torso have been pre-shaped for supreme comfort in both the cycling and running positions. Garneau made the zipper around 15 inches long, to take the struggle out of slipping into this suit. You'll also notice that the arm and neck holes have been cut generously wide to permit a full range of motion, without allowing gaps to form between your arms and the suit, which would contribute to much-dreaded drag. Additionally, Garneau’s Powerband compressive leg cuffs help to rein in muscle vibration in your upper legs. This reduces the damaging effects of road vibrations, keeping you feeling fresher, for longer.
To ensure your comfort over the long haul, Garneau employed a quick-drying fleece chamois. It’s low profile, so as to not interfere with your body’s movements during the swim and run portions of the event, but it still provides ample padding to keep you protected for your ride. As you’d expect, it’s quick drying, which helps to fight chafing as you transition onto the bike.
The Louis Garneau Comp Suit is available in five sizes, from Small to XX-Large, and in the colors White/black/red, Fluo Green, and Royal.
