- Q & A
packs light but not heavy duty
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just received this in the mail so I can't comment on actual travel or cleaning yet, but it's just alright. Packs light, so it will be good for flying to camp somewhere like we intend, but the harness strap broke immediately after we took it out of the box. Both the plastic and stretchy material just don't seem very strong. It will do for its' intended purpose but I don't expect it to hold up to much abuse
Handy for light use
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
So this is a cool little set that you can take wherever... As long as you're lightly using it. Light my fire could do with a few improvements. The lids on these don't always want to stay on. I took this hiking a few times and when it jostled around in my pack the lid came off. The spoon/fork combo utensils are worse. As long as you're gentle on them, they won't break. I've broken 2 out of the 5 utensils I've bought over the last 3 years. They just snap in half and I don't feel like I'm being that rough on them. It's a cute design, just unfortunately not practical. I'd take this to work with snacks but definitely not on a hike.
