A ripping pair of kicks.
You're meeting your crew at the lift line at nine, but you and your buddy are up early and the avy report is looking good—might as well spin a couple backcountry laps before hitting the resort. The Lange Men's XT 120 Ski Boots have a ski/walk mode that transitions at the flick of a switch, and an ultra-grip rubber sole to make certain you won't be slipping around, no matter how dark it is when you start your trek. Lange's stiff 120 flex lends control and stability at high speeds, without the aggression of the XT 130s. The generous 100mm last lets your feet stay comfy on the hike back up, and then, when it's time to descend, you can crank down the 45mm powerstrap for a secure feel that lets you shred as hard as you possibly can.
The XT 120 is made with a combination of two top-shelf plastics, giving the boots a powerful and progressive flex, so you won't feel like you've sacrificed an ounce of performance for the added convenience of a walk mode. The cuff is composed of a stiff polyolefin plastic, while the shell material is a polyether material, making it a touch more forgiving and easier on the feet. These kicks come with Lange's Control Fit liner, which is heat-moldable to ensure a precise and comfortable fit, and it is equipped with a lace closure system, making every feature on this boot hellbent on one thing—crushing the steeps.

- Q & A
What year is this boot? (White Lange XT 120 Ski Boot - $350) and what is the change from the current blue-gray and orange XT 120?
Finally, an end to my ski boot search.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
After skiing Tecnica Icons for over 10 years it finally came time to replace them, which was tougher than I thought it would be. The last few seasons I've been through several different boots but couldn't find anything that was pretty stiff , comfortable, performed well. I think in the Lange XT 120s, though, I've found the boot I'll stick with for another several seasons.
These boots are a pretty solid flex and true to the rating at 120, I love the toe box it's super boxy which fit my feet a bit better.
