Stay dry.

Soggy, mud-caked toes have ended more rides than you can count, but the men’s Lake MX180 Cycling Shoes are the waterproof weapon to keep you mucking around in nature’s brownie mix in comfort. With the extended cuff and waterproof liner, rain puddles and mud are kept out, and the generous toe box comfortably fits extra socks and wider toes. As you hit small debris fields that force a dismount, the Hypergrip Enduro rubber sole helps hold traction and the Ice Lock anti-slip inserts provide extra confidence as you venture further along the trail.

Smaller Than I was Hoping from Lake

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I was looking for a shoe that provides toe protection and is well suited for long days of hike a biking. This shoe seems to fit the bill, unfortunately the toe box volume is smaller than the MX237 that fits me perfectly. I am a 46.5 in the Lake MX237 and I ordered a 47 in the MX180 and my big toe was hitting the top of shoe. The toebox is smaller where the big toe goes. No bueno. I'd like to try the MX168 Wide but I haven't seen these in stock in the States.

Seem to be a nice design - I really like BOA adjusters and aggressive rubber soles, however they are shorter and narrower than the other Lake cycling shoes of the same size. I have owned at least 3 pair pair of Lake cycling shoes all the same size. For warm weather MX 165 regular width, for winter MXZ 302 wide width. The 165's need to be replaced so I got these MX 180's. Unfortunately they are shorter then either the 165's or 302's and considerably narrower than the MX 165's. Too bad the MX 180's are not offered in wide width. Will have to try something else.
