Ski Trab TR2 Binding

If the Ski Trab TR2 Binding looks a little more complicated that most tech bindings for ski touring, that's because it is. First off, it isn't even technically a tech binding even though it has the toe piece with pins at the side. There's an additional attachment at the toe, and the heel is a little wider, which means this binding only fits a select few boots with TR2 compatibility (La Sportiva's Spectre 2.0, Starlet 2.0, or Synchro Boots to name a few). The benefit of this unique design offers actual release values that bring peace of mind when you're getting rowdy in the backcountry.

Unlike most tech bindings, the Ski Trab TR2 Binding's toe features a lateral release setting up to 13, which allows the heel to lock in place for sensitivity, maneuverability, and control similar to alpine bindings. Ski Trab redesigned this binding to fit wider skis better and sit closer to the skis for even more control.
