Go ahead and abuse them.

La Sportiva calls the Finale its toughest short. Made with a burly stretch cotton twill, the Finale provides an unlimited range of motion with no binding. Where the going gets really tough, at the front knee area, the Finale gets durable stretch Cordura panels that can handle any abuse you can throw at them. Other cool features include an integrated toothbrush pocket, so you can clean up manky holds easily, and a stylish leather strip insert to add a little flair to your next magazine cover shot.

Fine, wish they had an XS

These are awesome fabric and the stretchiness allows them to fit a wide variety of body types, but I wish they were a little shorter and cut thinner. The Nago short fits me better, but these are nicer. Oh well.

First piece from them. Gotta say I'm hella impressed. Definitely my favorite pair of shorts. I can see these lasting a long time. The style is badass. I got the red, they look very cool. Will be back for more from La Sportiva. You want these.

Great climbing short

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm tall and skinny, so finding the right ratio of waist to length ratio is hard, but these shorts fit the bill. I'm 6'3" 168 and the Small fits perfectly in the waist and is plenty long in the leg. I bought these for climbing, but they look good and can be worn around town as well. Lots of pockets and they dry super fast. Read the size chart and measure, these run large.

Running big,

First of all the material is awesome in these. The cut is athletic and they have a really nice feel to them. They breath great on a hot ascent and or just chilling out on the porch. The gusseted crotch allows for dynamic movement and beyond that the stretch of the material is very malleable. The length is a little long for my taste, I am a traditional length type of guy so I prefer at the knee or just above, but the tighter fit is nice, more like a chino or a fox essex. Aside from that I fall in between the medium and small sizes. I am 5'10" 165lbs and have anywhere from a 32.5-33.75 inch waist. Coming into the summer I have more of a 33.75 inch waist. The mediums are huge on me so I had to go with the smalls, which fit me perfect. So my suggestion is if you normally where a medium and are in between the S and M, go Small. Aside from sizing which has nothing to do with the quality of the product, these shorts are bomb.
