Splash Roll-Up Pant

The Kuhl Women's Splash Roll-Up Pant is lightweight with a soft, cottony feel, and just enough spandex in the weave to keep you moving freely on the trail. If you start to warm up, snap tabs on the lower leg let you roll up the cuffs and secure them. This also comes in handy if you come across a mountainside stream you simply have to dip your feet into. And, should you slip on a mossy rock and get a little wetter than anticipated, the Splash pant dries faster than cotton, so by the time you get back to down you'll be dry and ready to grab a quick dinner with friends.

  • Hit the trail in this lightweight pant
  • Stretch fabric promotes mobility on the trail
  • Snap tabs on cuffs secures hem during creek crossings
  • Large cargo pockets for stashing trail snacks and sunscreen
  • UPF 50 keeps legs protected from the sun

Pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Hiked through New Zealand in all climates. Fits true to size super comfy, durable.

Runs Extremely Small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I ordered these pants in a 16 because my size 16 Kuhl shorts fit really well through the hips and thighs and are too big in the waist. These pants barely went on. All the Kuhl shirts and jackets I have run true to size. Don't know what's wrong with these.

Sizing is off!

I have five pairs of these in my closet, all size 12 purchased from another retailer. I ordered three pair from BC and two were at least a size smaller, the third pair was larger, but still smaller than my previous purchases. What's up with that?
Had to return all of them!

My favorite summer pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 12

I raise puppies for a guide dog program, mostly labs, so I’m in the woods walking every day, These pants are the best! The cotton/nylon blend is rugged and comfortable, sheds dirt and dries quickly. The 32 inch legs are long enough to cover my ankles, and I can cinch them with rubber bands to keep out ticks. The pockets are a good size without being too big and there’s enough stretch to allow me to move. And when the dogs inevitably “share” their swim, they dry quickly and shed dirt readily. I have 3 pair.

Not for Ladies with Curvy Butts

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 10

I wanted these to fit so bad! I loved the material, pockets, length, style. But the fit is terrible for my curves. I have a big booty and normally wear a size 10 in pants. I ordered a 10 and could button them but they were so small in the butt that they gave me a terrible wedgie. Not good for hiking or working! I'll be sending them back.

Not for curvy girls

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 10

KUHL has never seemed to fit my curves ( and I"m not that curvy). I love the lighter material and the cargo pockets on the size. But they are just slightly small in the butt area.

Fits okay, just not for me

The roll up keeps them very long and hits at a bad length for my height. I didn't realize this and that combined with the color is the reason I'm returning. Raisin is a dull brick red. The fabric was a bit heavier than I expected, but it depends what you are looking for. They fit true to size chart and although I could use a 2 for the waist, the hips (me: 37") fit correctly and there is an elastic drawstring to pull in the gap in the back. The cargo pockets are big enough for iphone 6-8 and the others seem to have good enough depth. The legs are fairly straight from the thigh through knee to hem with some knee articulation seams. The back half of the hem is reinforced in case you are prone to wearing it out. I wouldn't necessarily say these are a super active pant. Maybe an active person's travel or recreational pant.

pants

I love them, but they are made small

    Gift for my wife

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: small

Bought these for my wife. They are great, functional pants, and they look good on her! She just wishes Kuhl offered different lengths, as she is quite short and has had to alter the pants herself.

Would make the Stone Masters proud.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 4

I got these pants specifically to climb in in Yosemite and they did not let down one bit. First off, the material is comfortable, lightweight and I can tell that it breathes. It also held up to my dragging knee problems I have while I climb; needless to say, they have no holes yet! The ample pockets hold all the things that I need, like my phone and then some of my beta papers while I climbed. I like that i can roll them up if I need extra air flow of if I want the cuffs out of the way. In total, I just really like how these fit. I think they're my favorite pair of tech-pants.

Would make the Stone Masters proud.

Great but could have better pockets

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 2

The pants fit really well and I love the color of mine (red). I've worn them nearly every time I've gone climbing for the last 6 months, so as expected they've got holes in the knees and a cool groovy patch as a result. My only complaint is that the pockets are too small for my phone to sit securely. If I can manage to get it in there, the snap buttons always open up, allowing my phone to drop 115 ft. Yep, that happened and the phone still survived. Seriously, why aren't there more women's pants that have larger pockets with zippers?! Relying on my partner's phone for the topo or ripping out pages of the guide book is less than ideal.

    Love these pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 8

Love these pants, they do run a little on the large size, but I will try to wash and dry them again. Still super comfortable. Size 8

    Great fitting and very comfortable

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

These pants will be perfect for a hiking trip I'm taking in AZ. I like the fact they are cotton blend, not all nylon. Plus I'll be crossing a lot of streams so the fact I can roll them up is a plus. The pants have good stretch and fit and are long enough. Plus, there are lots of pockets! I don't understand why some manufacturers do not even put back pockets on their hiking pants. I do wish they had a similar style/material with zip off lets.

Wow! Why didn't I try Kuhl earlier?!

Fantastic fit-True to size-flattering utility pants for a woman's body-doesn't look like you are wearing a mans pants...I was a diehard buyer of Athleta brand pants for work (dipper) and when the GAP bought them -they changed-Kuhl is my new go to brand! So glad I ordered from BackCountry!! The best!

    Good so far

    • Size Bought: 4

Very comfy and nicely fits over boots/shoes.

    Great Pants!

I have two pair of these pants that are now two years old and have been worn and washed at least 500 times. They are super comfy and hold up great to lots of abuse. Love the fit, love the pockets. I'm here to buy more of them and am a little concerned about all the comments that they run small. I'm wondering if Kuhl has changed the sizing on these.? I am 5'6", 137lbs, and I HATE tight, restrictive pants. My two-year-old size 8 splash pants fit just great, nice and loose and comfy. A more generous fit than many other brands of size 8 pants. Backcountry staff......has Kuhl changed their sizing? Or can I order more size 8 pants with confidence?

    Perfect Pant

I really enjoy that these pants are designed to fit in the waist, higher in the back so there is no gap. The hidden drawstring is also helpful. I have purchased many Kuhl brand clothing items, built to last and looks great.

    Love!

I have these pants in multiple colors ( black, carbon, sage, indigo, rust and dusty blue) and love them! I am 5'7"and approx 140 lbs, size 10 fits me perfectly. They run a little small. I am normally a size 8. They are classy enough to look professional for work ( office casual) with a nice Columbia button down shirt. I work as a Physcal Therapist in an outpatient office. The pants are easy to get up and down off the floor for demonstrating exercises etc , yet look classy , especially if dry cleaned and creased. They are great quality, light weight for summer but wear them all winter long too. The length is great, which at 5' 7" is usually hard to find. The back pockets on the buttocks is very flattering! I consider these my uniform and cant wait to order more from backcountry. Wish Kuhl made a cream color, lighter then khaki. Personally I do not use these for hiking but can see why one might want to.

    Nice

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: size 2

I bought these for my wife. The pants are true to size (she's 5’ and 102 lb and generally weasr a size 2). The back is cut a little higher than the front, and the waist actually fits her. Usually if the legs fit, the waist is too big and then she has to wear a belt or use the built-in cord to tighten the waist. The Syrah color is nice and the fabric is perfect for climbing, hiking or hanging out. It's too bad she had to drastically hem the pant legs, but that’s par for the course.

    Love them😆

I normally wear a size 10 and ordered a size 14. I need a belt but other than that they fit great. I just got them a few days ago and I'm in love with them. Plan to order a couple more in different colors soon! The color Breen is very flattering. Age 45. Runs small size up 2 sizes if you have curves.
