- Q & A
Sizing is an issue with this one
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Small
Let me first start and say this is a great jacket, however sizing is an issue. I'm your average "athletic build" early 20 something, about 5'8, 138 pounds. Usually I have to buy my jackets as a medium because of my longer arms, and slightly broader shoulders. I received the medium in the mail, and was swimming it in. The shoulders were too baggy, and the arms are tapered to begin with, but in the medium it was like I had shoulder pads on. I returned it for the small and it fits better, but not quite perfect. The arms (because of the tapering effect) are still loose around the shoulders, but that I've accepted because I usually like to layer, the sleeves though are exactly perfect. It's pretty tight around the wrist , but with the wrist button unsnapped, it's fine. A little boxy around the torso, (similar to a guys jacket, in that it's not form fitting) but again, that means room for layering. For me, that's the trade off, sacrificing a more slim fit in the waist, for the proper sleeve length.
My biggest issue is with the zipper. The plastic that is usually added to jackets on the bottom, is starting to warp and make it difficult to zip. Maybe I just need to keep zipping it to the point where that rediculous plastic becomes warped and cracks off (like on your favorite well worn jacket) so it becomes a non issue?
Other than that, I do really like this jacket. I bought it for rides on my motorcycle, and so far the inside layer has surprising left me pretty warm.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size

This was a gift to my wife. She loves it. She prefers it over her similar Columbia jacket. She has already received many compliments about it.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Medium
I really wanted to like this jacket. The quality is great and I really liked the style but the fit is very odd. The shoulders are wide and boxy and almost look like you are wearing shoulder pads. The overall look is quite manly (and I actually like tomboyish clothes but it's too much even for me).
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
This jacket is going to last. The quality and the zippers are great. Big deep pockets. It doesn't have any inside pockets so I took one star away.
What is the center back length of a medium?
I love this jacket! I was looking for a casual brown jacket and this fits the bill. The only thing I may do differently is add gussets to the shoulders, where it's a little tight. Other than that, it's super cute and warm!
welll.. i love love love the look of this jacket. its awesome.. however fashion prevails over the fit
its very tight across the shoulders, but fits great everywhere else.. the sleeve length is dead on as is where the jacket lands on my hips.
i tried on the medium and it was too big in the chest and the shoulders were still tight..
i love khul products but am always baffled by their fit.. i think they need a new fit model!
I wanted a winter jacket (for northern california - so not snowy winter) that looked good, but was still somewhat casual (comfortable, looks good with jeans). This is perfect. It's heavy enough to stop the wind, has a warm liner, and fits well. It's not bulky like a parka, but the shoulders have room to move (and i have broad shoulders).
Now that i have it it's sort of like a carhartt jacket, but with a much more feminine fit.
the only reason it's not 5 stars is that the zippers are a bit sharp on the edges - i have to be careful my scarves don't get caught.
(bonus was i got it on sale!)
