Hiking never felt so luxurious.
Comparing the Komperdell Carbon Expedition Tour 4 Compact Trekking Poles to some branch you whittled into a walking cane would be like comparing a stick horse to a German luxury car. Engineered to keep you powering up steep climbs and navigating steep descents with confidence, the Expedition Tours are made with a solid combination of carbon to keep them light, titanal for durability, and a rock-sleeve lower shaft to protect the pole from heavy trail wear. Not only are the poles fully adjustable (105-125cm), but they can be broken down for easy strapping to your backpack when you need to free your hands up for those high, exposed ridge line scrambles.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These are the first trekking poles that I've bought and now I totally understand why people use them. Unfortunately the threads stripped on one of the connections on the first trip I used them on, don't really know how it happened. Luckily Komperdell has a warranty so I can get it fixed. Besides that, these are great. They are very light, have comfortable grips and straps, solid adjustment connection, and I like how it breaks into 3 pieces and the movable basket.
Is this a single pole or pair?
