- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I stopped in the store and tried out 8 different poles. Looking for lightweight and comfort grip. I am 5'6" and the length on these is perfect. Did a 20 mile day hike in Escalante including 5 miles of slots. These poles were a life saver! I used to think poles were just for older people or those with injuries but found out using them relieves some of the weight of your pack and promotes better arm/had circulation. They also came in handy to assess the depth of unexpected pools in the slot canyon. Toward the end of this long hike I did have one pole that needed a bit of tightening on the clamp, to keep it tight. I would recommend these poles!
