A pint-sized powerhouse of a pole.

Komperdell created the C3 Carbon Compact Power Lock Trekking Poles so shorter men and women have the same access to top-shelf technology without having to struggle with oversized and heavy poles. Their three-section design allows them to be packed down for easy carrying on a backpack when free hands are necessary to navigate exposed sections of trail, while the carbon and Titanal shafts make these poles both light and rigid for long treks and short hikes alike.

  • 3-section carbon and Titanal shaft

Not a Better Bang for the Buck!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It is hard to find a better Ultra-lite pole that blends price, portability, swing weight, comfort and durability. I love these poles! They are stronger than most Carbon poles out there and are reinforced with Titanal in the lower section, to prevent cracking a lower section in a rock garden. I'm a big fan of the foam grips and find them more comfortable and less slimy than cork. These also got top-marks at Outdoor Gear Lab for best value. Give them a try you won't be disappointed! Look for the non-compact version if you are taller than 5'11 or live around some really steep downhills.

Poles came defected!

Did not open the lower section. Since I'm from Kazakhstan it was difficult to return the item so I decided to fix it myself. I thought that the section got stuck due to rust or corrosion and I tried to use WD40, knocking, heating. No result. Finally, I sawed off the part of the poles and saw that the bling plug of the lower section was fused in to the middle section. Was shoked by this!
