Out of the Box

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recieved my boots a couple days ago. I had read reviews about them and was aware of some difficulty of getting the boot on around the ankle area. Indeed this is the case. The weld between the neoprene and fabric does not have any give to it. It is difficult to get your foot into them but once you do they are very comfortable. I normally wear a 10.5 to 11 mens. I ordered an 11. Once my foot pushed in, the foot bed was amply comfortable with a pair of regular socks. If I tried a heavy pair I do not think I can get my foot through the ankle area the heal would catch on the ankle cuff. I will not get to test the warmth of the boot for a month or two. We still have ice on all our inland lakes in Northern Michigan. I will add more once I get to try them in cold water.
