Livin' the dry life.
When you spend an equal amount of time hiking as you do paddling, the Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex Full-Zip Jacket lets you save on both closet space and cash. This lightweight, packable Gore-Tex Paclite jacket protects you from ocean spray and drippy trees alike without ever weighing you down. And you can cram this jacket into nooks and crannies, leaving plenty of space for that hard-earned post-paddle porter.
The supple nylon shell stays quiet while 2.5-layer Gore-Tex Paclite does the heavy lifting of guaranteed waterproof and breathable protection. Be it spitty surf while you're sea kayaking, late fall showers on a hike in the Olympic peninsula, or sweat started from a particular arduous paddle towards shore, this full-zip jacket helps keep you dry and comfy. While not a true drytop, gusseted Lycra splash cuffs reduce the opportunities for water to sneak in. Hook-and-loop cuff adjustments let you batten down the hatches if a surprise squall turns tranquil waters testy.
The low-profile, rollaway hood offers full-headed protection from the weather without turning your top into a sail. Despite the close fit, this pliant hood rides quietly atop your melon, leaving the choice of listening to your paddling pals up to you. Car keys stay safe due to a lanyard in the left sleeve pocket. Waiting for a ride at the take-out or for the water to boil as your mate sets up the tent? Your paws stay cozy in pile-lined hand-warmer pockets. Whether a paddle or your feet get you where you want to be, the Gore-Tex Full-Zip jacket makes sure you stay dry.

Purchased to combine with NRS Sidewinder bibs for Kayak fishing for Halibut in Alaska.
Fit is good, ordered a size L and was roomy enough for me (5'10", 190lbs) to layer underneath it for fishing on the ocean in February. Cleaned up well too. I'd consider it idea if it had some latex wrist gaskets to better keep water from running down my arm but I expected this anyway so it's really not a big deal.
Washed it twice and all slime/blood came right off, so I think it will take some abuse before looking nasty (not that I care, as long as it doesn't smell nasty).
