X11SL-TI Gold Chain

Who says chains can't be sexy? With a friction-reducing titanium nitride coating, the KMC X11SL-TI Chain looks as good as it works. And thanks to hollow pins and plates, the 228g X11SL-TI Gold Chain is one of the lightest chains on the market.

But despite its weight, don't be fooled into thinking that durability and performance have been sacrificed. Mushroomed riveting yields high pin power and strength while plate chamfering and a bushing-less construction provide smooth, quiet shifting. KMC’s Double "X" Bridge shape on each outer plate further enhances the chain’s ability to provide clean, smooth shifts in all conditions. That Ti-Nitride coating isn't just for looks, either—it provides serious corrosion resistance for many miles of rust-free service.

The KMC X11SL-TI also comes with its own KMC Missing Link 11—itself a miracle product—so you won't have to fuss with special pins or chain tools to install it. Light, durable, quiet, and smooth, the KMC X11SL-TI is specifically designed for 11-speed drivetrains.

  • A smooth operator for your road or mountain drivetrain
  • Ti-Nitride coating reduces friction and raises sex appeal
  • Construction details stress durability and weightloss

Soley for the bling factory

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's louder and doesn't shift as well as a Dura-Ace chain. It probably won't last as long. But its signficantly lighter and GOLD. That's the real reason you are buying this anyways right? Comes with a non-resuable quick link.

A must on every bike

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have this chain on all my bikes. It has never let me down. Its been to whistler many times on my DH bike. I just got back from riding the CDT on my trail bike and not one single problem.

A must on every bike

Gold Chainzzzz

great chain, looks pimp.

KMC Gold Chain

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is a chain...and it is GOLD. Totally upped my street cred.
"Gold all on my chain, gold all on my ring.."

Great chain but only lasts for 3500 mile

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Beautiful chain. Works well. Only complaint is that it stretches and needs to be replaced every 3500 miles. I have ridden these chains for years and I always go through two chains per year. When they start to stretch, before there is much visual evidence (gap between chain and top of chainring), they make a sound that sounds like the rear derailleur is out of alignment.
Competitive Cyclist's price for the chain is excellent.

Ron G. is spot on with his chain life number. I just hit 3300 miles on this KMC X11SL and it is in need of replacing. Another couple hundred miles and it will be done. I got even less miles out of my previous KMC X11, but I put it through some harsh winter weather.
Despite the short lifespan, this is still a great chain. And a great price from CC.

Is Alain ,I have this chain for almost two year and I used on my dream bike for since I build .and right now that bike has 8854 miles on it ,is on my strava ,there is two many factors for the stuff we use last longer ,for me the most important, in this case ,is keep it very clean and well lube ,every week .I use Pedro's slick wax chain lube .for clean the chain ,WD40 for 1h ,that's my experience, and right know is time to change , I am not very heavy guy almost 6 foot and 170 pounds,

Great chain

This is one of the best chains on the market. I was glad to find it on sale.

    Awesome chain

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This chain looks sick and run nice. I always have SRAM Red chains and honestly cannot tell the difference but all I know if looks awesome when its clean and worth the bling.

    The One

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After running 5-6 of the KMC X11SL chains on both Campy Record and Chorus drivetrains, this is the only chain I'll ever run.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If you're looking to make your bike extra fancy this is a great way to add a personal touch without having to get too crazy. I put this on an 11 speed bike and for the most part it seemed to work great. However, when I dropped down into my two lowest gears, the chain did have a big of sag to it making it difficult to shift. I'll either have to find a way to make it work, or just make sure my legs are extra strong!

This would imply that your chain is too long and needs to have some link(s) removed.

You are always supposed to size your chain before you install it...the manufacturers give you several extra links. If you are replacing the factory chain, then just cut it to the same number of links as the one you are replacing.

    Gold is Pretty

I love the gold and the light weight. Would buy again for 11 speed bikes

      So smooth!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Swapped to this from my Shimano chain, and I am never going back. This thing is smooth, and looks killer on any bike!
