Why We Like The SR 80's Edition Splitboard

We describe our best days in the backcountry as "pitted", "gnarly", "tubular", and we do that while riding Kemper's SR 80's Edition Splitboard. The Surf Rider (SR) stays true to the roots of snowboarding, helping us ride fresh pow like it's Californian surf. An early rise, directional camber profile helps us keep traction while we motor through long climbs deep into snowy hills.

Big Mountain Shredder Does It All

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This quiver-of-one split has been a strong companion in the mountains both on the ascent and the descent. It is light, durable, good looking, user friendly, and fun to ride. Poppy and responsive yet stable and easy to control, this board blurs the line between freestyle and freeride capabilities. The Rampage is remarkably versatile, maneuverable and stable when riding on variable surface conditions. I would recommend this split to backcountry users who want a reliable all-arounder that lays down skin tracks and fresh lines with the best of them.

This board is just right

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Well It was a great walk to the post office the last few days of March. I happen to get this Sweet Kemper SR Splitboard in the mail. This board is bright fun and not to mention light weight. I love the graphics, it looks like an episode of saved by the bell. I was able to easily set up the board with my Spark RnD binding kit and my Pomoca skins work great with this shape and size of this board, and the phantom clips are slim and stay clipped while riding. The Camber to early rise profile of this board, floats in the fluffy and turns on the chunder. I work for a cat operation based in the Front Range in Colorado and was able to try this board out on a variety of terrain and conditions. On bolier plate days the camber holds a great edge, and when things begin to soften up the early rise makes floating easy down hill, and the turns surfy. From the tops of the Divide open bowls, and chutes to the below tree line, this board has great control and just enough flex that it almost feels like my favorite solid board that I used to ride inbounds back in the day. With the camber I thought It was going to be more stiff, but this board can get playful with your runs.
