Winter's worst enemy.
Six-foot snowbanks and bitter cold conditions? No problem, or, at least that's what the Kamik Men's William Winter Boot would say if it could talk. This hard-wearing boot features a waterproof leather that protects your foot against precipitation and slush puddles alike, meanwhile the insulated liner is removable for customized protection and warmth. The classic lacing system ensures a personalized fit, and the rubber outsole touts tenacious lugs for plenty of rip-and-grip on slick surfaces.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I got these for my dad, and he loves them. He did not size down, and says they fit fine. He wanted a litttle extra room to wear thick socks with them.
- Fit: Runs large
They really do run a size too big. They are also heavy and awkward looking. Stinks I'm out the $6.99 to return, but live, learn, and listen to consistent reviews. Overall not a good experience with adult Kamik. I've had good luck with kids though.
Great Winter Boot
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 10
I was in the market for a new pair of winter/snow boots and I was pretty set on getting a pair of Sorel Caribou boots. After a bit more parusing I ran across the Kamik William winter boot and decided I was more impressed with the tread as well as the look. The removable liner is another nice feature. I did some searching for reviews and ran across (2) 5 star reviews and both stated they run a full size large. I talked to a backcountry service rep about this and they said they would send me my normal size 11 as well as a size 10 and I could just return the boots that didn't fit. EXCEPTION CUSTOMER SERVICE! Sure enough the size 10 fit great....a full size smaller than I wear in most other shoes/boots. Out of the box, they are more comfortable than the Sorels I tried on and feel more secure/supportive.
Return of the size 11s was as easy as repackaging, printing the UPS return label and dropping off at a pickup location. The return was processed quickly and refund issues in short time.
backcountry continues to impress me and remains a 1st choice when ordering outdoor gear.
