Kamik Baltimore Boot - Women's

Keep it on until winter's over.

The Kamik Women's Baltimore Boot boasts big protection for winter's wrath, keeping your feet comfortably dry and warm until flip-flop season makes its return. A DriDefense insert gives this boot waterproof protection for snowy sidewalks, and the fixed foam insulation ensures warmth in subzero temperatures. Kamik added fleece lining for extra warmth as well as a soft feel, and the fleecy snow collar adds a touch of après style. A gusseted tongue enhances the Baltimore's waterproof protection, and the City Winter Tread rubber sole lives up to its name. The Baltimore also features a removable EVA insole for a comfy amount of cush.

Good for light use

Last season I was a ski instructor for Mammoth mountain and we got over 600in of snow so I wore these babies every day all season in all weather. They are very warm, I’ve never had a problem with my feet not staying warm so I’d give them a five star for that but about half way through the season the waterproofing was done, almost every day I’d get damp feet or on really wet days just soaked. Another issue I had was the lining for the fleece came apart from the shoe itself which was mildly annoying every time you took the boots off. Some of the stitching also started coming apart toward the end of the season. Like I said, I wore these every day in pretty brutal weather so I expected some wear but I was pretty disappointed with how quick they really fell apart. I was hoping to have them for another season but looks like I’ll need to get another pair of winter boots for this winter.

I bought these boots around November so that I would have some solid waterproof winter boots. (I live in Mammoth Lakes so we get a lot of snow) The boots did the job, but they werent as great as I would hope. By the end of March the lining in one of the boots has separated from the inside so it slides out when I take the boot off, the stitching on the front of both is ripping and if you step in any puddles higher than the soul of the shoe your feet will get wet. I put these boots through a very heavy winter, so I expect some damage but for the waterproofing to be completely gone after a couple months is pretty disappointing, I will be going for a different brand of boot next winter.
