K2 Thrive Helmet

A hard-shell ski helmet with a progressive, low-profile design.

Buckle up the K2 Thrive Helmet before you walk out the lodge, click into your ski bindings, and skate to the lift line. In case the safety bar on the lift accidentally clanks down on your noggin before you're ready to pull it down, the Thrive protects your head so you don't have to deal with a splitting headache. Its hard-shell construction keeps overall weight down while providing effective protection from sudden crashes on the slopes or from low-hanging tree branches.

K2 also equipped the Thrive with passive channel ventilation that features channels on the inside surface of the EPS core to direct airflow between your head and the helmet. And if you're worried about the dreaded gaper-gap, don't be—the Thrive comes with a K2dialed fit system that features an ergonomically inspired three-point adjustable interface to maximize fit and customization with the twist of a dial for superb, on-the-fly convenience. And a removable, washable full-wrap liner system wicks moisture away and supplies breathable comfort when you slash big, wide turns down a pristine, open face.

Great Lid

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a pretty big noggin, and I think this helmet fits great. It's very comfortable, and was a joy to wear all day on the slopes.

Be careful with the slate/blue

It is not what it looks like. Much more sky/baby blue! Still an awesome helmet!!

    Be careful with the slate/blue

Did you by any chance mean Stone Blue instead of slate/blue? Thanks!

    Weird sizing

I liked this helmet for a bunch of reasons on paper: price, adjustability, colors, style, protection. But I had to return it because the M was too small and the L/XL was too big. Well, it basically fit but felt enormous on my head. I went with a Smith Gage L instead which fits just right.

      Warm, light and protective

This helmet is great. My head was nice and warm throughout the day. I barely remembered I had the helmet on because it was so comfortable.

      Super light & low profile.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

      Low profile, light and comfortable.
