Dolomite dandies.

Glitz, glamour, and plenty of big-mountain style are the inspiration behind Julbo's '80s classic Cortina Sunglasses. Lightweight frames, Spectron 3+ polycarbonate lenses, and bold looks make the Cortinas classic, whether you're winning the Italian après scene or hot-dogging your way down the hill.

Loved them then lost them

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

A classic, tragic tale of love and loss. I had them on at the start of a river trip, and ten beers later they disappeared. I loved them while I had them, at least.

Pretty Mediocre

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought these as i was stoked to get some Julbos at a great deal and they had decent enough of reviews below. Not sure if I received mine from the same batch, but literally felt like cheap gas station glasses. Bad plastic feeling frame that also fit oddly on my face. The only real redeeming quality of these was that the lenses seemed pretty decently actually when viewing through them, but honestly the outside of them again looks like weird gas station lenses. I returned them.

Good but not great

The quality of these shades are great, but the fit isn't so good. I would side these at a solid medium face, and not a large face.

When the photographer wants to have fun shades.

Bought these because they were on sale... and they kick ass! Comfy , stay solid on the face and look good.

Loving these

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I went for the obnoxious orange for fun. And they are definitely fun!

Also functional. They actually stay on my face, head, or hat and don't end up in the dirt (or.... the truck stop bathroom floor, gross!) like so many other sunnies that just fall off.

As a photographer who is frequently checking the screen on the back of my camera, I was also looking for a non-polarized lens that is still great at cutting the glare, and spectron 3 is great for that.

I took them for a test spin backpacking in the desert last week. Super happy so far!

Unanswered Question

Are these polarized? 100% UV/IV?

Bright and bold

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got these as a fun gift. The color is bold and vivid as pictured.

Awesome. I'm glad the colors were true. Thanks so much for sharing this, Nikki!

Are the lenses mirrored?

Casual to Active

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I'm notorious for losing pairs all the time, so this time around I didn't want to spend the 100+ on another pair of Oakleys or Smiths - should've been buying these a long time ago. I love the old school style, along with the piece that goes behind my ears. I've biked with these and they're great in the water as well! Plus, customer service at Julbo is Kickass :)
