And when the ride is done, you can sport these puppies around town while you check out what the local brewery has to offer.

Does this Zebra lens have the Photochromic Category 2-4 rating like other Zebra lenses. Not spec’d here.

great for singletrack in the trees

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I bought these as I wanted to try the photochromatic lenses- riding in Utah you go from bright sunshine into dappled sun and shade in the trees. This is when you really want to see the trail.. and roots, rocks. These fit the bill perfectly!

Optics: This is my main criteria for eyewear (and I have a ton of sunglasses): The lens do subtly change in and out of the shade- the clarity of vision is remarkable! I find the lens a little too light in full sun so if I were spending the entire day in the sun, I'd choose something different. But these are my new go to glasses for mtb.

Fit: I have a med large head and I found I had to push the glasses slightly back up on my nose a few times while riding. Not annoying by any means. I bent the arms a little and now they sit better but they definitely fit on the larger side.
Ventilation: the one place where these glasses lack are in ventilation. They do NOT fog as another reviewer noted and that is a huge plus but in hot weather on a long climb my eye sockets would sweat (sounds funny but it was a bit annoying.. never had that happen before). Obviously this is because of the larger lenses but some more ventilation would be nice.

All in all, I think these are solid glasses. At the sale price, I'd jump on them in a min!

Hi Jim, I’ve read the Zebra lens changes down to Cat 4 which should be adequate for ski touring and glacier touring. I’m wondering if you have the Zebra Light lens with these? If you haven the regular Zebra and feel they do not get dark enough at times I would be concerned . Thx

Goodbye fog!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

After nearly breaking my Oakleys in a frustrated rage when they fogged up for the umpteenth time, I decided it was time to get a pair of anti-fog sunglasses for ski touring and mountain biking. These glasses have changed my world. They have only ever fogged up once, and magically the fog disappeared within about 30 seconds. The Photochromic lens tech makes the tint level change with the light and I often find myself wearing them right up until dark. I have also found that the yellow tint helps decrease eye fatigue and have started wearing them while driving in my car as well.

Like a glove

So I've always had a problem with glasses, I have a pretty large head so I'm extremely picky. Reading glasses, shades, goggles, the whole nine yards. These were a very pleasant surprise - hence the title. Literally, fit like a glove. They essentially mold perfectly with my head. If you're looking for a comfort fit sort of deal, these are your best bet.
Lens wise - that's a whole other story. Usually when looking through shades, the lens deters vision. The Zebra(?) lens actually enhances it.. definitely a unique aspect that I haven't encountered before with a pair. Overall, super solid, the price is a bit high, but if you want a great pair, it's definitely worth it.
