  • Q & A

Adequate for some jobs.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Do not think you are making pancakes on this even with a ton of butter... To heat up a quick skillet, you will be fine!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ive used this pan for years now. Only good thing about this is the fairly light weight. Doesnt spread heat evenly throughout the pan and burns in the center almost immediately. Works in a pinch, but does not do well . I'd rather carry something heavier that works. Nonstick spray or oil is a must with this

Love it

Love this light weight pan. I use it on my jetboil flash. So far only cooked eggs but can’t wait to cook some backcountry trout. Sticking has not been issue I just used some oil on the bottom of the pan

Clip-on plastic base serves as a plate.
    Folding handles.
    Flux-ring spreads heat evenly.
    Packs small.

Even when cooking on the lowest setting on my Jet-Boil stove, anything you cook, even when using corn or olive oil will stick horribly to the pan surface. Therefore, I’m going to request a refund for this product. Without a non-stick cooking surface, the pan is essentially useless, imo. Everything I’ve cooked on the pan sticks and you will spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to remove the burnt-on food, and I’m not sure you could ever remove every burnt-on matter without a belt sander.

With that said, the larger fry pan Jet-Boil offers is an excellent pan WITH NON-STICK COATING, works just as well with my Mighty-Mo stove, if balanced correctly, and cleanup is painless and quick.

    Jet Boil's BFF

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A great addition to my Jet Boil family. The plastic base doubles as a place for food prep and also as a plate. Be aware that you'll need the pot support to make your stove compatible (Item #JET001U)

    Paired with Mighty Mo

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I already own the FluxRing pot and love it. The fry pan performs just as well in windy weather and cooks evenly and quickly. I use it with a Mighty Mo for a very stable setup. The clip-on plate is a bonus!

Reviewing Pot with the same Flux Ring

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I lent the pot that has the same Flux ring to a buddy when he went to Norway. He had a few things to say: This pot, when used with the MightyMo, performed wonderfully! In the cold Norwegian fjords, it’s essential having a warm meal from time to time. The rings created a lip so the pot would not fall off and a pretty effective wind barrier. (this pot has the same ring size as the pan above). Also remember that there’s plastic on both ends of the pot, as my friend foolishly set the pot on the fire with the bottom plastic still on.

I've tried it out to fry eggs. It worked great had no problem with eggs sticking. Did use a little grease in the pan but it worked good. I did use a mightymo stove that has good heat control. If you have a stove with flame control I recommend it

      Sweet plate on the bottom

Bought this for frying fish on fly-fishing trips and for hunting. Really light, but takes up some space in the pack for sure. Has a very convenient plate that clips to the bottom. Does not come with the ring needed to attach to the burner. Which is pretty lame. Only recommend if you have the Jet-Boil burner. I wouldn't use it with any others.

Just recently bought the jetboil stove and since it only heats water for ready to serve meals I wanted an option to actually cook, so the pan. Only good for jetboil stoves and other reviewers recommended oil. Also must buy pot support. Looks sturdy enough and plate will come in hand y. May leave behind on longer hikes as I'm concerned about any additional weight.

Perfect pair for other Jetboil stoves and accessories for those backcountry trout! Fits nicely in a pack as well

            Designed for the Jetboil

Great addition to the Jetboil. Also includes a pop off plat on the bottom.

              Be careful

I bought this thinking I could use it with any stove, but it's specific to Jet Boil.

                Works Well

The pan heats up quickly, stays secure on the jetboil pot support, and is a good size for small groups. However, the pan is definitely not non stick but it's not a deal breaker. In my opinion, it's a bit of a pain to pack in and out ingredients to cook, but it's a nice luxury, or comfort item. In the future, I will stick to my dehydrated or freeze dried prepared meals due to ease of cooking, cleaning and packability.

                Jetboil Fluxring Fry Pan

                Quick cooker

                • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great luxury item I use on some of my backpacking trips. I can get tired of some of those meals. It cooks quick so be careful and watch your flame. I cook pancakes for breakfast. Lightweight and only have to add water. Instead of syrup, I like to use my peanut butter. Be sure you do bring a little cooking oil or you will have caked on mess.

                Jetboil Fluxring Fry Pan Review

                Nice job describing the benefits

                Don't forget the stability kit!

                • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This frying pan is awesome, the flux ring heats everything evenly and the plate that is included is very efficient. This does not come with two pieces that you need to use it on the jetboil though. You need the stability kit in order to use this.

                Eating like a king.

This is a great pan. Super lightweight, and now I always get to make pancakes while out backpacking! It's not no-stick, so make sure to pack a little bit of oil or butter so you don't end up with a giant mess. It even comes with a plate attached to the bottom of it.

                  Great frying pan.

                  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this little pan. Frying eggs, potatoes, onions or just making soup. Very handy, easy to pack. Heats evenly. I will try baking next.
