Suits me fine

Ordered about 10 different day packs looking for a weekend travelor and a day pack for hiking. This one best fit what I was looking for...just had to get over myself and my bias against a brand that doesn’t conjure thoughts of elite hiking gear. I wanted side water bottle pockets, compression straps, a couple cool compartments, and comfort. This one aced out 9 other “elite hiking gear” brands. I think the ‘insulated’ pocket for keeping anything hot/cold was gimmicky but it’s not a drawback at all...stuff whatever you want in it. And I love the top compartment for sunglasses. PS the ‘secret’ pocket on one of the water bottle pockets does in fact work fine with a bottle of water in it....jmo

    Great School Pack

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this for my little brother before he started school up again. He really likes all of the storage, that the various pockets offer. There is tons of room for plenty of school books as well. The look of this backpack is super cool too, it has a modern military feel to it. The fabric is super durable too, so you'll only have to get one haha!

Watchtower is my new favorite bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought his pack for school because my old columbia bag (which I loved) seemed to small and was getting beat up from also being used as my climbing bag. I wanted the hippytree color scheme, but it was sold out so I went with burnt henna. I was worried it would be too pink but it is a little darker than the picture which made me happy. The blue accents really make it pop.
It is super roomy inside with lots of organizational pockets, fits my laptop, notebooks, textbook, pencils, small dictionary, etc. with room to spare.
A big thing for me was having waterbottle pockets as a lot of backpacks don't. I was worried they would be too small, but the actually fit a standard nalgene or hydroflask!
Super comfortable, maybe it's because it's new but it doesn't hurt my shoulders like my old pack does.
Can't really comment on the insulated pocket yet, seems like it'll work fine when I need to take a cold or hot lunch to school.
My only real complaint so far is that the pockets on the front are not as large as they appear, the flaps are big but they don't hold much. Not a big issue, they hold all I need but they aren't large. Also the "secret" pocket on one of the water bottle pockets can't really be used with a water bottle in there. This pack is nice because it can hold a ton of stuff but when it's empty it still looks streamlined.
Overall I really dig it, the description is spot on and its very 'beat' or kerouac esque while not having that boring rucksack look.

It's perfect for a college student!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So after struggling all my freshman year with my North Face backpack of 3 years, we finally decided to call it a quits. I have never been happier with a decision and especially after getting my watchtower. I'm a solid 5'3" and it doesn't overwhelm me. The cooler pouch makes a lunchbox completely unnecessary and the laptop sleeve fits my 11" laptop with my tablet comfortably. The dual pockets are well sized enough for my swell bottle and umbrella to fit comfortably with falling out when I bend over. The only criticism I have is that its more long than wide. I usually stack my textbooks (which as a history major are small paperbacks).

I purchased this for my work/commute backpack and I'm very happy. Lots of pockets and tough fabric. It holds a 32oz hydro flask in the side pockets no problem. Recommend for sure

    Great Backpack

Great looking pack - classy/rugged looking.
The side pockets are great for coffee mugs/any water bottle.
You can hold a laptop or Hydration pack!
It has an insulated pocket to KEEP beer/drinks COLD!!!

    Great product!

I'm a college student, so I was looking for a bag to fit all my of books and supplies in one bag for my convenience. This bag does it all! It has a huge top opening so I'm able to fit books to my art projects, you name it. Not only that but I usually carry a travel coffee mug AND water bottle with me at all times and the water bottle sleeves are big enough that they don't accidentally slip out ( I had trouble with this with previous backpacks). On top of everything it has a thermal pocket for snacks that I might bring with me for class. Over all, this bag is great for any commuter. Very satisfied!
